Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the TorkLift Rear Camper Tie-Downs on a 2023 RAM 3500. In-bed campers are I think one of my favorite ways to go camping because you can load it in the back of your truck and have that camper ready to go. But generally, you can still pull trailers and have the usability to just drive around. So, one of the things that you're gonna wanna do when that in-bed camper is in place is make sure that it's strapped down. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the TorkLift front camper tie-downs on a 2023 Ram 3500. So when installing your front camper tie-downs, actually don't detract from the truck at all. You'll see this small opening here, but when you're driving around, it's really not that noticeable and it sits really perfectly underneath the bed to where there's just a little bit of gap here. It's not too tight, but it's also not hanging down. It's not gonna cause any interference with anything. And then whenever you're ready to get your camper in-bed, and get it all strapped down, you can simply just slide this into place. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at e-trailer, today on our 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500 we're gonna be showing you how to install the Torklift frame mounted camper tie-downs for the front. But before we do that, let's take a minute check these out and make sure they're gonna work for you. I do wanna mention though, you know you're gonna want all four corners secured. So this set here is just for the front, so you get one over here and on the other side, you can always pick up the rear as well. And a lot of times you're able to kind of pick 'em up as a whole set, so just wanted to throw that out there And something I highly advise too, definitely pay attention to this, and that is what style of truck you have. more

TorkLift Front and Rear Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs Installation - 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2022 Ford F-250 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Torklift In-Bed Camper Tie Downs. Now when it comes to hauling a camper in the bed of your truck, it's very important that you get it tied down properly, and these brackets are gonna help you do that. We do have some brackets available that mount inside of the bed. Usually, they go inside your stake pockets, and they have a little bracket that comes out, and you can tie down to that. In my personal opinion, those are not as quite stout enough for my liking for the safety of my camper, but these are going to be sound enough. more

Now for this specific kit, it's just going to come with the front brackets. I highly recommend picking up the rears, but there's a couple of different situations of why you would just need the front. The first off is going to be if your vehicle does not allow you to install the rears. So if you have an aftermarket hitch on there, since the rear brackets for this truck will install in the rear hitch. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 Ford F250 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'mma show you how to install the TorkLift rear in bed camper tie-downs. These are gonna be a great sturdy option to be able to tie down the rear end of your in bed camper. Typically, we recommend picking up the whole kit so you can get the front stew and have all four corners of your in bed camper safe and secure when headed down the road. Now, there's a few reasons of why you would just need the rear kit. First off would probably be because if you had an accident or something like that and this kit got damaged, a good one that we've seen before is that somebody got hit from behind in an accident that it tore up their bars pretty bad so then they had to pick up just the rear kit and their front bars we're perfectly fine. more

TorkLift Frame-Mounted Front Tie-Downs Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Torklift Custom Frame Mounted Camper Tie Downs for the front, part number TLC2220. Here's what our camper tie downs look like once they're installed. Now, we always do recommend using four tie down points, so we're using it in conjunction with the rear as well. Now, if you need some of the rear tie down points, you can pick some up on our website using part number TLC3215.These are frame mounted tie downs, which is going to give you a very stable point to mount your camper to. Now, the frame style tie down is going to have a big advantage over the bed style because we're not going to have to worry about any bed damage or drilling into our bed or bumper causing rust down the line. It's also a lower attachment point, which is going to benefit us because of our camper being up so high, it's going to take some of the stress off from having that top-heavy load. Now, since it's mounted to the frame we're not going to lose any ground clearance, because as you can see, it's going to come in and go up to our frame where our frame is actually going to hang down lower farther forward. more

Here's what our camper tie-downs look like once we have them fully installed. Now, we are using them in conjunction with the front, and you can pick those up on our website using part number TLC2220. These are going to serve the purpose to keep our camper secure when we're driving down the road so we don't have to worry about it moving around on us. Now, our tie-downs are frame-mounted tie-downs, and the big advantage over the bed style tie-downs is the fact that our tie-down point is going to be lower, which is going to keep our load more stable instead of being up so high, and less top heavy, and it's going to be more structurally sound because it's going directly to the frame. What you're really going to appreciate about the fact that it's frame-mounted is we're not going to have to drill into our bumper or potentially cause any damage to our bed, which is also going to prevent rust from happening, keeping the value of your truck longer. One thing also that you're really going to like is you're not going to lose any ground clearance since it mounts to the frame, which is above our body here. more

Like back here, we wouldn't able to drill our four holes, but right in this area here, on the other side we have plenty of room to drill through and not hit anything, as well as to install our hardware. We also want to make sure that the insert right here, when you put the insert into your receiver, that it will clear the body of the vehicle, which it will. We're going to go ahead and hold our piece up into position. We're going to take a paint marker and mark the four holes that we'll need to drill. Now when drilling out the holes, we will use the step drill bit method by starting smaller and then working our way up to a 7/16ths drill bit. more
